Thesaurus curated by Fabio Carnaghi, promoted by Soprintendenza Archeologia della Lombardia and by ARK Cultural Property and Contemporary, is a journey of discovery in space of the Roman Thermal Baths of Como.
Eleven artists explore the sense of discovery and present the results of different contemporary exploration, in very close contact with site. As artifacts from an acient civilization were discovered in a grotto, the archaeological site emphasizes the instant of disclosure in its primitive stage. The revelation is the primary act that is a suspension of time between the history and the future. The treasure has been entrusted to the earth, it becomes a part, it is kept as a seed accidentally or deliberately placed to be found when maybe the time will come. From a contemporary material culture, the exhibition captures discovery emotion, act that marks the beginning of a new life. Thesaurus is an event promoted by Soprintendenza Archeologia della Lombardia and by ARK Cultural Property and Contemporary for Expo in Città Milano 2015, with the support of Touring Club Italiano.
